Florida's East Coast Self Storage

More than 35 Years of Experience

Storage Basics Overview

Finding a  storage unit can be an overwhelming task, especially if you aren't familiar with all of the options and features available. It's best to assess all of your storage needs before you even search for a local storage facility.

Estimate how much space you will require. Save money by only renting the space you need. Feel free to use the self storage calculator to help you.

How often will you need to access the unit? Some facilities have multiple floors, requiring an elevator to access your belongings. (Or they typically charge a prmium for being located on the ground floor.) At The A/C Storage Place, all of our units are on the ground floor, and with multiple doors to our parking lot, you are never far from your car or truck.

Are any of the items you plan to store sensitive to temperature or humidity? If so, you will most likely need a climate-controlled storage unit. Typically the following items need to be stored indoors with some type of climate-control: leathers, furs, clothing, paintings, film, photographs, furniture, antiques, musical instruments, wine, paper, software, DVDs, CDs and electronics. At The A/C Storage Place, 100% of our storage units are air conditioned.  In addition, unlike most other storage facilities, all of our storage units are fully ventilated to minimize the possibility of harmful mold or mildew.
